VECHILCE SPECIFICATIONS

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar is the spiritual successor of the '50s 300SL Gullwing grand tourer—itself developed from the W194 racer. In 2010, Mercedes-Benz introduced the SLS AMG GT3 race car that brought the Gullwing full circle to its racing roots. The cars were constructed to FIA Cup Grand Touring Car GT3 regulations, with a select few race cars handcrafted into track-ready reality each year. Chassis No. 135 was one of the last SLS AMG GT3 racers produced for 2014, and is presented here with just 2,952 miles logged on the engine and transmission. The naturally aspirated front-mid-mounted 6.3L V-8 is rated for 600 HP at 6,800 RPM and 500 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 RPM, and is backed by a 6-speed automated manual transmission in a rear-mounted transaxle with a multi-disc limited-slip differential. Adjustable forged-aluminum double wishbone front and rear independent suspension are tuned for racing. Ventilated, grooved and perforated rotors with multi-piston calipers and ABS deliver track-tested braking with unique body ducting specifically designed to channel cooling air over the engine and brakes. The Calcite White body utilizes carbon fiber from the front splitter and winglets to the adjustable rear spoiler and rear diffuser for downforce. Inside, the driver is met with a foam-padded seat shell with 6-point restraint and a HANS device, along with a quick-release steering wheel with shift paddles and pushbutton controls. Unmatched safety is built in from the FIA-spec roll cage and integrated carbon-fiber safety cell, to explosive hinges on the gullwing doors for access in the event of a rollover. The GT3 is equipped with 19-inch forged-alloy wheels with race-compound tires and a center locking wheel nut. An integrated underbody 4-post jack system and dual fast-fill fuel ports wait ready for pit stops.
